Volunteering and mentoring
People who experience mental distress can easily become isolated and lonely. If that rings bells for you then our befriending and peer mentoring service could help you find some of the friendship and emotional support you’ve been looking for.
Our friendly volunteers can join you in trying a new hobby or taking up an old one, whether it’s fishing, art, singing in a choir, gardening or simply getting out and about in the open air. On the other hand, there might be a skill you’d like to develop at college or a community event you’d like to go to; our befrienders and mentors can give you one-to-one support to make it happen.
This service is currently being developed and will be launched in summer 2011. Please email us at enquiries@flintshiremind.org.uk or ring 01352 757637 for more information.
