Statutory services in Flintshire
provide a range of one-to-one support such as help with everyday
activities such as form filling, shopping, using public transport
etc. Support to engage in community activities such as joining groups,
attending educational courses etc. It also provides community activities
such as drop-ins, workschemes and women’s and young people’s
groups.
Flintshire Supported Living Service
offers individual support to people with long term mental health
problems. The service is uniquely tailored to meet each individuals
needs in their own community. It provides support to help people
access a range of community services and to live independently
Flintshire First Access Mental Health
Team provides assessment for people with mental
health needs and serves as a gateway to other services.
Flintshire Day Services’
purpose is to enable people with mental health difficulties to take
control of their own lives and live as independently as possible
within their own communities. It offers a meeting place with a non
judgemental atmosphere and a chance to develop new skills and interests.
Flintshire Workschemes provide meaningful and valued occupation in a variety of fields
for people with long term mental health problems.
Capabilities, Buckley — produces
photographic greetings cards, business stationery, and picture framing.
Deeside Workscheme — produces
woodwork and soft furnishings and provides gardening services.
Adfer Hyder, Greenfield (in partnership
with Greenfield Valley Heritage Trust) — undertakes a variety
of gardening activities
