Flying a Kite for Mental Health!

Flying a kite for mental healthOn Saturday 19th May 2007 Flintshire Mind Kite Flying Day Posterjoined in with Mind Cymru's Fly a Kite for Mental Health Week.
Members of the Saturday Drop-in made and flew kites of various shapes and sizes. Some were more successful than others! Everyone enjoyed the day even so.
The picture on the left shows one of our members in a valiant attempt to launch a kite.

Mind Week 9-16 May 2009We know that some men haven’t always been encouraged to talk about their feelings. But everyone can feel low sometimes, and anyone can have a mental health problem. That’s why Mind is telling men to Get it off your chest for Mind week 2009

Flintshire Mind Graffiti Board
To raise awareness of this issue Flintshire Mind had a stand with a Graffiti Board outside two local supermarkets. We invited men to write on the board anything that had made them happy or unhappy in the past week.
Flintshire Mind would like to thank Sainsbury Supermarket, Flint and Somerfield Supermarket, Mold for their help with raising the profile of this important issue.
